- For example, in the 19th century, there was a rush for colonising Africa.
- National pride is led into becoming imperial pride.
- By the end of WWII, the notion of imperialism was under attack and outlawed by the UN in 1945.
Fascism
Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultra-nationalist political ideology and movement characterised by a dictatorial leader, centralised autocracy, militarism and suppression of opposition. It advocates for the complete submission of the individual to the will of the state, and places the power and will of the state above the nation.
Eugenics
An inaccurate (really just false) scientific theory based upon theories of human appearance and religion. For example, ‘if your nose is big, you are Jewish’.
