- tolerance - the idea that society is tolerant of each others beliefs/opinions/actions as long as it does not harm anyone (harm principle) “accepting they exist but not minding(?) it” often seen as ‘do this but don’t show it’ contrasting example: people complaining on social media over public prayers during ramadam
